Make Every Break Count
Using the Philippine holidays to plan your family travel is a great way to boost your family's happiness. A 2023 review in Frontiers in Psychology even found that tourism directly benefits your physical health, psychological well-being, and overall quality of life.
But what kind of break is best? A 2021 study in Annals of Tourism Research Empirical Insights showed that short breaks (three to four days) can be powerful for restoring your ability to focus, especially when you fully detach from work.
On the other hand, if you can plan a longer getaway, a 2025 study on the impact of vacation length found that a vacation lasting one to two weeks is the most effective for reducing stress, preventing burnout, and improving your overall well-being.
Whether it's a long weekend or a week-long holiday, the most important thing is to use the Philippine holidays as a time to rest, have fun, and create lasting memories as a family.
