How CERELAC® Made BIG Sustansya Fun at Tambalang BIG Sustansya sa Barangay
From August to September 2026, CERELAC® brought smiles, fun activities, and meaningful community moments to families through Tambalang BIG Sustansya sa Barangay. Held across four barangays nationwide, the caravan gave parents and caregivers a chance to enjoy interactive experiences while discovering more about the value of the Tambalang CERELAC® + Homemade approach for their little ones.
The program visited Brgy. Socorro in Cubao, Brgy. Longos in Malabon City, Brgy. Salawag in Dasmariñas, Cavite, and Brgy. Macabalan in Cagayan de Oro City, reaching nearly 500 Filipino families. Each stop featured games, hands-on activities, and a community Q&A that made conversations around a chance to enjoy interactive experiences while discovering more about the value of the Tambalang CERELAC® + Homemade more relatable and easier for parents to navigate.

At the heart of the caravan was an important reminder: when it comes to feeding babies during the critical first 2,000 days, parents do not have to choose between homemade food and infant cereals. With the Tambalang CERELAC® + Homemade approach, homemade meals and fortified infant cereal can work together to help support babies’ nutritional needs and bring them BIG Sustansya in every bite.
Welcoming parents at each event was Nestlé Brand Manager for Baby Food Sophia Samoy, who shared CERELAC®'s continuing commitment to helping Filipino families care for their growing babies.
“For 160 years, we have remained committed to the belief that every child deserves the right nutrition to help them grow and thrive. Bahagi ng commitment na ito ang patuloy naming pagpapabuti ng aming mga produkto at pagbibigay ng science-based information sa mga magulang, to better support the nutritional needs of Filipino babies,” said Samoy.

One of the most exciting highlights of the caravan happened in Cavite, where Megan Young joined 150 families, the biggest crowd of the series, to celebrate Tambalang CERELAC + Homemade. As a new mom, Megan made the campaign even more relatable, sharing her own mealtime experiences and connecting with fellow parents around the everyday tandem of CERELAC and homemade food.
“Hindi naman ibig sabihin na kailangan nating gawing complicated ang bawat meal. We can start with the food we already prepare at home, learn more about what our babies need, and find ways to give them more BIG Sustansya with a Tested + Proven product like CERELAC®,” Young said.

Another favorite activity was Tambalan Bingo with Dr. Katrina Florcruz-Dacanay, a fellow of the Philippine Pediatric Society and active consultant at Diliman Doctors Hospital, Capitol Medical Center, and The Medical City. Through the game, parents enjoyed a fun and interactive activity with fellow families in the community.

The final stop in Brgy. Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro City was especially meaningful. Aside from being the last leg of the caravan, it was also the site of CERELAC®’s clinical study on complementary feeding among infants. This made the event a fitting close to the program and highlighted CERELAC®’s Tested + Proven commitment to helping address the nutrition gap among Filipino children.

Through Tambalang BIG Sustansya sa Barangay, CERELAC® brought its message closer to communities in a warm, engaging, and family-friendly way. More than just a caravan, it became a space where parents could connect, ask questions, and feel more confident about nourishing their babies.
With the Tambalang CERELAC® + Homemade approach, CERELAC® continues its commitment to helping Filipino parents give their little ones BIG Sustansya, supporting every baby’s journey to becoming CereLAKI, CereLAKAS, at CereLISTO.
